Why I built this site.
A personal note on what this project is, the headaches that led me to make it, and how it works.
Nobody tells you this stuff when you start watching.
I'm an anime, movie, and web series lover myself. But when I first got into anime, I ran into things that nobody ever explains to a beginner up front.
For example: I had no idea what "filler" even meant. I'd sit through dozens of episodes where the plot suddenly came to a complete halt, wondering what happened, only to find out months later that it was non-canon filler that never existed in the original story.
Then there was the watch order problem. You find a series you want to try, only to discover it has three seasons, two movies, a prequel OVA, and a spin-off. Looking up what order to watch them in is a minefield of spoilers on forums and confusing wiki pages. It shouldn't take research just to figure out what episode to click on first.
The post-show exhaustion.
The second big problem happened every time I finished a show I loved. You reach the final episode, feel that gap, and sit down to figure out what to start next.
An hour easily slips by just scrolling through endless possibilities without a clear starting point. When there are thousands of titles and so many different takes on each one, decision fatigue sets in and you end up watching nothing at all.
That is really why I built this: a clean, honest guide with the straightforward context you actually need before you hit play — whether that's a title I've personally watched, one on my watchlist, or a carefully researched reference guide for something I haven't gotten to yet.
How this site works: Three Honest Categories
To keep browsing clear and honest, this site separates titles into three distinct categories:
Personally Watched
Titles I've genuinely watched. If it's labeled "I've Watched This", you get personal ratings, written commentary ("My Take," "What I Learned"), and firsthand watch orders.
On My Watchlist
Titles I haven't watched yet, but plan to watch next. I include them so you can see what's on deck and follow along, but I clearly label them so I never pretend I've watched something I haven't.
Reference Guide
Titles with thoroughly researched filler lists, watch orders, and lore guides, but not personally watched. Clearly labeled with no rating or personal review attached, so you always know what kind of information you're getting.
That clarity is the whole point. The core problem this site solves — confusing filler episodes and tangled watch orders — affects far more series than any one person could ever finish, and withholding carefully researched reference information on those titles felt like a wasted opportunity to help fellow viewers. At the same time, personal opinion content (ratings, "My Take," "What I Learned") remains strictly limited to what has actually been watched — with "What I Learned" capturing personal reflections and takeaways rather than universal advice. Ratings are added once a title has been watched, while full written reviews follow as dedicated writing time allows.
Suggestions from real people
I also want this to grow with input from people who love good stories. If you think an anime, movie, or series is missing, or if you have a better watch order suggestion, I genuinely want to hear it.
My Honest Pledge on Suggestions
If someone sends in a suggestion and it gets added to the site, it will always be clearly marked as a user suggestion with your name or username. It will never be silently blended in as if it was my personal pick. Real attribution matters.
